The views and opinions of the hosts [00:00:14] Speaker B: and guests are their own and do [00:00:17] Speaker A: not necessarily reflect the views of the management and staff of Guardian Radio. Oh, they don't know you till you're dead [00:00:36] Speaker B: yeah they don't know you, yeah [00:00:42] Speaker A: I went to a throne around the other day For a friend who had [00:00:48] Speaker B: passed away Cars lined the road all along the route People came from east, west, north and south Roses by the dozens Cards by the scores People parked [00:01:02] Speaker A: the church from Whirlpad the door they said good things about Johnny his friends started to cry Johnny, oh my Johnny, why did you have to die? They don't know you till you're dead Till you're sick I've covered your head but when you're up feeling fine they don't check for you no time hey, [00:01:43] Speaker B: 96.9 FM, talk to me with Gabby. Good afternoon, Bahamas. And good afternoon to those of you listening from all around the world. I know you all heard the news. I don't even know if I'm ready to talk about that yet. But a supporter of the station, of the show, a fan, an encourager, in the name of Jean Spocky Fountain passed away. And I knew earlier this morning and I said, omg. I. I couldn't believe it because it was just. Was it last Friday that he called the show and said, gabby, I wish there was more people like us, you know, talking about the issues that the everyday bohemian is facing. Before we get deeper into my condolences and paying tribute to Spocky, I just wanted to get a little bit of the housekeeping matters out of the way and say good afternoon to all of the fans and everyone listening. So if you all hear me a little bit more solemn today and a little bit more solemn, my heart is aching. [00:03:29] Speaker A: As [00:03:32] Speaker B: you know, you feel connected. We sit, a lot of us host as personalities. We may sit behind cameras, we may sit behind microphones and we talk. And we connect with so many people, people who may never even call into a show, but when they see you or they hear your voice, they immediately identify who you are. Because whether you know it or not, we've become a part of people's lives and they've become a part of ours. The callers, the texters, you've become a part of our lives. As we discuss the daily issues and really break them down, we become a part of one another. Even when we disagree, we become a part of one another. Say Good afternoon to all of you that are listening, wherever you. You can scream the show live on theguardiantalkradio.com I'm sending a special wave to those of you watching. Cause yes, the scream is back up. It's live. You can see me again. And I have to remember that you could see me again because the facial expressions Chris is up to remind me, you know, your camera working, right, they can see you. So you can scream us live on guardiantalkradio.com and of course we're on the Guardian talk radio app and we're live on Cable Bahamas channel 969, BTCflo channel 612. And of course follow us on all of our social media platforms. And of course you can follow the show on Talk To Me with Gabby across all social media platforms. Your life is so unpredictable. And I was thinking of what I wanted to play when I was coming to the studio and I texted my producer and I said, I want that song. They don't know you till you're dead. I want that tribute to Kevin McKenzie. Because oftentimes people complain about people. No one's perfect. No one purports to be perfect. But there is good and bad in all of us. And sometimes we take for granted even the contributions of the people we purport to be good. Make to society, make to the airways. It takes a lot of for those of us that sit behind these microphones to come daily, weekly speak to you. It takes a lot, a lot of us, a lot out of us. And one day you're speaking to someone and the next day they could just be gone. So I wanted to start with a tribute and just say that from the time that I joined talk radio, Spocky encouraged me and always stated how refreshing it was to hear me on air. Up to last week, he praised the fact that the show wasn't just about politics and said he wished there was more people like us who truly cared about the realities of the everyday. Bohemian. To many, Gene Vincent D. Sparky Fountain was a chronic radio caller, but he was so much more. I met Sparky many years ago while living In Bright Estate 3, on the opposite side of where he lived. I can recall him frying fresh Barry during a community walkabout and literally not wanting me to leave. He insisted that I tried this Bari and the only thing I could think about is, lord, please don't let me give Bari Kuda poisoning. But I stayed a Diwari myself, couple others, and we talked with him. He had a lot to say through his voice, he carried the history of Bahamian culture, pride and nation building. I'll be the first to admit that he would carry many hosts hard, often using colorful language what would land him in time out. But he would never let that stopping from spirit speaking his mind unfiltered and unmoved. I think the producers knew him best as oftentimes before he got to the main phone line, he would have more than an air full for them. Sometimes he would talk to them so much that he he was on hold waiting to be added to the show and hang up afterwards. He was human. He never purported to be perfect and he understood that before he left his and Amal fruit trees needed to be planted, culture celebrated and bohemians uplifted. Our national anthem says, see how the world marks the the mark of your bearing. When it's all said and done, how will you be remembered? I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and condolences to his family and all those who have come to know and love him. My heart is full of sadness as a house who connected with Sparky and engaged with him weekly. May his soul rest in peace. I'd like to have my producer play a short tribute that he put together of a few calls that Sparky and I would have had. Go ahead, Chris. How do I say goodbye? Call her. Your line Thursday. [00:10:39] Speaker A: Good evening, Gabby. How you doing? [00:10:40] Speaker B: I'm good, how are you? [00:10:42] Speaker A: Let me tell you, people like you and some of the new callers. I'm talking host. You're so rare. You're so down the earth and everything. We want to talk about what's going on in the Bahamas. Yes, sir, Gabby, that's. We want to talk what's going on in the Bahamas with us, me and you and Purdy and all that. We trying to talk about what's going on in the country. [00:11:06] Speaker B: Yeah, there are a lot of issues around [00:11:10] Speaker A: Gabby. We need to turn on what's going on in the country because if they keep messing around with America, we will be down in a pine barrel cutting down pine trees to try make boat to get to America. [00:11:23] Speaker B: We can be trying to make boat. [00:11:25] Speaker A: Hey, the Haitian don't show us how to make boat to get here. So how we gonna get to America's? Look here, we need one of them them jets like some cat. But get, you know the big American jet with Trump jump on that and fly around the wood. We need to get one of them jet for Bridget because brave is travel too much. We needed one of them big 747 because we're traveling more than Trump. Wow. [00:11:52] Speaker B: Let me take a phone call. Call her your live on talk to me with Jabby. [00:11:56] Speaker A: Hey Gabby, how you doing? Was Stefan the guy used to do the thing in the mall at Marathon right next to btc? [00:12:04] Speaker B: Yes, it was him many, many times. [00:12:07] Speaker A: Well, I've worked for BTC for 31 years and you know BTC right there next to him in wireless and he started that. I think he was originally Saxon and he went over to one family in Taylor street my family from Taylor street and I was so sad to hear about his passing. But you know Gabby, you made some comments about something about us with Christianity and love one another we have, I believe we have an inherited problem. Bahamians don't seem to love one another. Haitians will come in here and take care of Haitians, Jamaicans, Chinese and French and all of them will come in our country take over land and they live better than us. They live like in communities like the Filipinos. But Bahamians, we tend to bring down one another for some reason we come, we always talk about the F and M and the PLB and the white Bahamians and the elite black Bahamians what became rich now who don't want to come over here no more because now they live in old Fort Bay and Winston and all over life Picadic. They don't even pass through McCulloch or dig no more. But that's where they grow up. Barefoot with one shoe. We all went to the same churches nowadays famous people but they don't even come and just we pull down one another. People come in our country taking over our country. They taking over our country. Even on the talk shows we bringing down one another. We gotta stop listen. Good evening Gabby. [00:13:41] Speaker B: Good day. I'm listening to you Spocky. [00:13:43] Speaker A: One time ago growing up I heard a prime minister, our first prime minister said we were going to the white world, we was going to the first world. 53 years later I still trying to find out where the first world is the second world cuz they tell us we still in the third world and me complaining and crying for every rethink and and we don't know it ain't have nothing to do whether you're wearing a blue shirt or a red shirt or it's a PLB F&M on and we all crying and dealers whether it's social leaders, religious leaders and all them all we see them doing is partying and having a good time. How about. [00:14:33] Speaker B: Y'? All? I asked kwes of eh in here but in honor of Sparky today. You know, you plan a lot of things and last week I said I wanted to really touch on poor people should be having children and some of the things like that. So in honor of Sparky today and some of his last words to me about keeping it real and talking about the real issues that Bahamians are faced with and the real challenges, that's what I want to do today. That's what this show is going to be on. The real issues, the real challenges that causes Bohemians not to focus on the millions of dollars that constantly borrowing the debt go up because they just try to keep their head above water. That's what we're going to be talking about today. 323-623-2325-431632-54259. Anywhere from the beautiful family of islands, 242-300-5720 and the tax line, 4224796. We're going to take a quick break and when we come back today, I want to hear from you. I want you to be a part of the conversation because Sparky may have been looked at as a chronic caller, but how will the world mark the manner of your bearing? Who's going to stand in the gap? Because everyone is waiting for the next person to be the next Martin Luther King, the next Malcolm X, the next Mary Walker, the next everyone is waiting for the next Janet Bostwick, the next Lyndon Pinlay. But who's going to fill their shoes? Who's going to be the next Dean Ivy Dumont? Who's going to be the next Randall, folks? Who is going to fill the shoes of these persons who have carried us so far and only so far they could carry us? Who's going to pick up the baton and take us to where we need to be? Because while you say he may have been a chronic caller and we tired of hearing him, how are you contributing to a better Bahamas? What are you doing? What are you saying? Who are you talking to? Who you influencing? Today we're going to talk about the issues that Bohemians are facing on a daily the Real Talk, Surreal Talk Friday. Sad one, but a real one. We'll be right back after this break. [00:24:05] Speaker B: I never see some people so loyal in life like them Dolphins. They are the loyalists fan base ever so I know and see all Dolphins and then the Patriots I a lot of bohemians are New England Patriots as well. I don't know too much about football. I understand the basics. I am going to enter a caller text two persons in the drawing today for this epic touchdown November 1st. So for more details see the Guardian newspaper. And while I'm reminding you to get your copy, today's headline says government to borrow 331 million. This loan will be used to refinance debt of Grand Bahama Power company Halkitis says. Also in today's newspaper, BPL says power restored to Great Guana Key. Gardner granted one week extension to file pre trial motions. Young Innovators club is also launched and frustration mounts over mailboat service to Long Island. I Wonder when family islanders really get like fed up of them being treated like step children and not the step children that the people like, the ugly ones. You know, the one in like our Cinderella used that to clean all this in the attic and cleaning all the stepsister stuff. Like the ugly stepsister. And she wasn't even ugly. You're like, when are you going to get tired? How is this life? Eleuthera has literally made it comfortably like it's nothing wrong. This is normal to not have power for days on end. How has this behavior been normalized? I told you when I went down to Cat island and I was complaining about the reception because I was like, I can't even communicate. I can't let anybody know I I dead or alive. And the lady was like, oh, it only been you joking sometimes it has been down for two weeks. And I'm like, why are you saying this like this is normal in 2026? How is it normal for you not to have access to essential services needed to run a modern country now if you're trying to be off grid and you won't go back to the stone age and just fish on the rock hunt and live in a tent, then cool. But what, what's going to happen to the rest of us that are not interested in that subscription? Can we please cancel the free trial? I'm done. I've had enough. When is it that we're going to truly say we've had enough of bad treatment and it isn't political? Because I know for some of my people, if the only time I just get your attention is if you all hear your party. If I say get these people, that's the only time the phone lines blowing up. You know, that's what Sparky said. That's the only thing these people want to talk about. All day, every day. Politics all day. Red and the yellow and the black and the blue and the pink and purple. That's all you want to talk about. But we're not addressing the challenges that we're facing and how we're going to solve them. Last week I left you with a question on should poor people have children? And we were discussing the Elderly Care and Abandonment Bill 2026 that was debated in the House of Assembly this Wednesday. It was tabled on the September 16 and debated on Wednesday. I'm not certain if the debate wrapped up yet or if there are still additional speakers or if the bill is now moved to the Senate. I didn't get to watch the end, but we went through the bill Last week and we talked some of the points that were in the bill and Davao was quoted in the news this week saying that it doesn't seek to make people, for lack of better words, and I'm paraphrasing here because I don't have that quote in front of it doesn't seem to make people have to, I guess, but those who are willfully choosing that has the means and are willfully choosing to neglect. And I, I don't know, that statement just didn't sit with me. It didn't sit well with me because what if I do have the means? What if I do have the means but I choose not to? Are you taking away now people's choice to want to do distance themselves for whatever reasons they choose? And they may have the means, but for whatever reason, be it a personal philosophy, whatever it is, or some trauma they never talked about, will they now have to say to the state that I was raped, I was assaulted, I was abused, I was abandoned by these people. And yes, I have the means because I've wrapped up my boots and I pulled them up and I did what I needed to do to get out of that situation, be it poverty or whatever it was. And so yes, I'm willingly choosing and deciding that I don't have to do anything for adults. They're not my children. It's the opposite way around. And I remember a text saying, gabby, that's selfish. I say enough of me. I love my mind, I take care of my ma. I know, but no one else. But the reality is, because when we talk about the realities that bohemians are facing, the reality is when you trying to keep your head above water, it may seem like you have the resources you adding as simple as adding another mouth to feed could send you under. In an economy like this, when gas prices are now 7:35 a gallon, we are in or approaching winter, summer than over, we're in fall, approaching winter. When are the gas prices going to decline? And I hear what you're saying about all this Wallace, the Strait of Hormuz and everything, what is going down but all of this money that's being borrowed and appropriated all over the place to everything else, millions and millions. Can we for goodness sake say my Bahamian people can't take no more. I could take the vat off of your medical services because as fuck he went live to say, my God, if you don't got a thousand dollars to afford to go to the place up the road to get some medical care, you got die in PMH that's if you even get to see a doctor. When you go sitting in a cold chair just waiting for somebody to find out what's wrong with you. You don't think we could alleviate VAT on medical services? You don't think we could have some tax incentives sort of rental crisis that's been constantly unraveling here at the seams. This unraveling at the seams. This is going to be worse than the housing crash of 2008. It was 2008, 2009. This is gonna be worse than that in the mamas pretty soon because people are going to, you know, people are going to willfully do. They're going to willfully choose to live in their cars, get it yourself a gym membership and go shower at gym. The willfully decide that if I work it, I got at least have my. I could buy me one nice minivan, one nice comfortable little, little RV at this point and I can live in that and I could get a gym membership. And every morning, every afternoon I go to the gym and shower. It's cheaper than rent at the place you're barely to. And the electricity bill steadily is increasing. It's steadily increasing. Even the people who are purported to not be poor that are not making minimum wage because I hear the argument of people saying, well, minimum wage isn't for you to just stay there. You know, even those of us with degrees out here, some persons with multiple degrees, skill sets, certifications, cannot afford to live in their Bahamas. Bahamians are willfully choosing to leave to seek opportunity and safe haven wherever they can. Bahamians are now even going as far as seeking to denounce their citizenship to become a part of other countries [00:35:20] Speaker A: where [00:35:21] Speaker B: it's more economically beneficial to them. What is here? This is the things. This is why Even though this $331 million on the front page of the newspaper, why aren't so much people lashing out and upset? It's because they too busy trying to figure out how they could pay the light bill when Bibi Ella leave that sticker on their door. Day two. Busy trying to figure out how $30 and I say in 30. $30 can't even move the needle in their vehicle anymore. I talk about people driving parcel and you can't even put $30 in your tank. No more driving a four cylinder vehicle and $30 can barely move your tank. What type of Bahamas to say is we talk but we build in. People are drowning, drowning daily. And we want to get our politics involved. We have to have political Leaders that understand, not just say it. They ain't just talking and talk. They walk in the walk because all of a sudden they walk with us, cuss with us, fuss with us. And now it's them and it's us. It's a quote from Michael Pintard's book, by the way, still standing. It's a BGCSE text for literature. That always stuck with me. That passage of that always stuck with me. And it's interesting that when you read things over and you start to replace some of the things that you've learned, how when you taking it in as a teenager, you're just studying it for an exam, you're learning literary devices. And what is the tune that the author meant? What did you think this was? What are the metaphors that you saw? What was the author's intention? What did it mean? And as a teen it didn't mean much. But as an adult living the realities of day to day, it mean we tired of this miserable life. Like how is it that only a select few can survive? It's almost around here is going to become like the hunger games in 2.5. It's going to be survival of the fittest if we keep on the trajectory that we're on. How, how are we going to make it? What do we plan to do? The government and do this with our money? No accountability. They didn't do that with our money. Calls and organize and say don't have nothing to do with I'll match against my mother if she doing foolishness. When are we gonna have those type of principles that even yes if you voted and supported that person. If they ain't making no sense. It's time to rob Texas. I see you when we come back we'll go to the phone lines and take some via text. We will be right back on talk to me with Gabby on this Friday afternoon. Need you to spell it out for me. Welcome back to Talk to Me with Gabby. We're just having a real conversation today on the issues, real issues that bohemians are faced with and why. The headlines of newspapers, the headlines of talk shows and media outlets and the news every day. And behemoths are becoming completely desensitized to everything. On average. It's because when you were trying to keep your head above water, you can't worry about nothing much else other than peeling some of that water out of whatever you standing in just to be able to catch enough oxygen for the next day. The deck's line 4224-7963-2362-3232-54-316, 3254259 anywhere from our beautiful family of islands. 2423-00-5720 this text says Good day Gabby. I stopped gambling with guardian. Anyhow. 60% of these children are guilty of neglecting their parents and Spending their pension on their boyfriend and girlfriend. Lucky they don't end up go crazy. Davos should get a Nobel prize for Bill even though he is lousy. This is coming in for the text like yes, I agree to the extent of those who are using their parents pensions money and not taking care of them. But I'm talking about the people that their plan is to not want to be a part of whatever it is that their parents didn't do because we also have to have a real conversation about some of the adults in our society. When things were sweet y' all was buying I don't even think Christmas they buying Gucci and Brad Are you see any picture with your with your parents and any Gucci and brother? They was buying slave band and gold chain. That's what they was buying. They was buying slave band and gold chain. And then some of them were also selling the land that they had for pennies. They sold a lot of their land for pennies on the dollar. And that's when a penny was worth something. Now today a penny ain't worth nothing. And they were living live a la vita loca. That's what the song say. Living live a la vita loca and now they've lived past I guess the time that they've planned for past the time that they plan to work and their retirement plan was to have you the child to take care of them. The child that they did not leave an inheritance for and did not plan to leave inheritance 4 because they was out in the zoo and Zanzibar and with all them olden days club name, you all know what they name wherever they was out when all the Buju Bantam them come to the old stadium they was there winding up, shaking up and not putting nothing to the side. This ain't a sweeping generalization but this having some real talk. And now the child who is saying I had to get it out the mud so my children can get it out the garden have only begin now to plant seeds. They've not even really started to bear fruit. But having to now take this on could potentially challenge their future. And then it becomes a generational curse and a cycle because they are pouring from an empty cup or half full cup and not a cup that run it over. This texter said, I'd like to know what happened to the rent bill that was supposed to address the biggest cost for bohemians that went completely off the cliff. Zippo. I have no clue. Did they table it? I didn't see that legislation out for consultation. Someone can text Me and let me know, call me, let me know. But I didn't see that legislation out for consultation. I think that's going to be one of the most controversial legislations, if not done correctly, if it's half baked. Because many landlords say ain't nobody helping them with building costs. Yesterday I went into an establishment and the young lady said, I. I walked in and I said, y' all having any sale? It was a tile place gone in there. I say, pinda, y' all having any sale? Because I need a sale. I went to go get some tiles. And the lady said, ian, not no sale. But I recognize that voice. I said, you too? She said, yes, I recognize that voice. I said, oh, I don't know, I must have one of those voices. She said, no, here's the lady from Guardian. And I said, oh, really? She said, yes, you're Gabby. I know that voice from anywhere. And I said, okay. I said, does that mean I'm gonna get your discount? Cause I need a discount because I ain't got no. He chuckled. And I want to say hello. Hi, Ms. Rules. Hi, Ms. Rules. You think I forget it? I forget your shout out. And we were just. Was a few of them in there? We were just having a conversation on how expensive everything is, just generally. So after I didn't spend all this money on this tile. Right, right. And I didn't spend all this money on block. Block is over $3. Over $3. What would have cost my parents $150,000 to build back then now cost me 300,000. But you want me as a landlord and see, so I understand from both realms, you want me now as a landlord to say, and this is something because if you're going to build quality, something nice, even spacious, to say that I could charge the $800 they used to collect back in the day for what I paid $300,000 for when my parents mortgage was $500. Mine says 2,800. That's what you want to tell me? And so when the landlords, them are saying, buddy, it ain't gonna work, I rather take my place off the market first and rent to expats. Because that's another argument that's gonna happen. That's another thing. So you're gonna have a supply and demand problem. Demand is high and supply is already low. So if this bill isn't craft to appease and at least meet in the middle, both the renter and the landlord, this is going to end up worse than the housing crash. Instead of people getting out of jobs and the recession. The homeless population will be going up or maybe even people willfully choosing to live in trailers, tents, RVs and their vehicles. I'm telling y', all, get a gym membership and go. Babe. We got a lot more of your texts and we're going to get to them and continue the conversation after the news as we have a real talk on this Friday on the issues, the everyday issues bohemians are faced with. Why they when they pick up the newspaper and they see Guardian even though they love to read Guardian. I must worry about the $331 million and I can't find $331 now to make up with my rent or to pay B. We going to head to the news and we'll be right back. Already gave you the time and the place so don't be shy. Something to give I wanted. I kinda like it when you call me. [00:52:25] Speaker B: Talk to me. Talk to me. Talk to me. Looks like we're making off a lost time. Need you to spell it out for me. Boston over on all night. It's like a type of alchemy. 90.9 FM Talk to me with Gabby on a beautiful Friday. We've been having scattered show. We're going to make it through. This is your station for fresh news. Smart talk all day. I want to remind you that we are streaming live on the guardian talk radio.com so that's guardian talk radio.com I had to give my niece a whole little tutorial the other day on how to watch the video version. The audio version versus how to to listen. So how to watch video versus how to listen to the audio because she was getting confused. She was like I can't ever get it to play. And I was like you're on the wrong thing. I need you to go right to the corner. The video version usually comes up first. You could just click on that and who's whoever is on whatever show is on that will come up. And then if you want to listen live to the audio, there are three lines right in the corner. You go to the side and you put click on listen live if you want the audio version only. That has been my TED Talk for the day. Let me give out these numbers right quick. The numbers to call are going to be 3236-232325-43163-25-4259. Anywhere from the family of islands 2423-00-5720, and the text line 422-4796. Let me get to some more of your text messages and then I want to talk to y' all about something disturbing I saw that ties back into the realities of what bohemians are facing today. But this text says, rest in power, Sparky, to rise in Zion. If we had handled SPF smartly, all of us will be millionaires today. They too greedy and will. Coming in from the text line. This text says, good afternoon, Gabby. Just turning tuning into the show. TGIF had to go to the dentist today. Good afternoon. My day. I was wondering where you were. The show don't start until I see that TGIF text and then I know the show started. This next text says, I ain't taking care of no one who was mean to me. If he saw fit to have children all around the place, I will let him be taken care of where he rather had been. The Bible say. The Bible also say, parents, do not provoke your children to wrath. Jesus. Yeah, you let that. This could be very interesting on the enforcement aspect of this elderly care bill. It's just gonna be very interesting because I see the good in it. There is good, but there's just so much gray area in terms of how do I opt out of not even if I snacks again, how do I opt out of not wanting to deal with you. How do I do that? This text says if they want to address misuse of NIB funds of the elderly, that doesn't even need a bill, that just needs a policy change at nib, something for the board to address. If it can be proven that NIB funds are being taken and not supporting the elderly person who earned it. Stop the funds. How hard is how hard that is? This giant muddle Darvel engineering that he didn't spend half hour thinking through will create misery on top of misery. This is coming in from our text slide. This text says Gabby. Good topic today. But if costs went up, housing salaries increase as well. Child, any behemoth y' all got any salary increase because everywhere, everywhere you go, they crying everything growing up except your salary. If your job was good enough and they say you get increments, you better keep your good job. Cause ain't much given instruments. Some of these salaries was the same and the only salaries that went up was when minimum wage increased by the $50. Other than that, there are people still making the same thing they made for decades while not accounting for inflation. This text says, Gabby, I don't understand the bill is the government going to force the nest of kin to take care of the elderly person? Because wouldn't there be an increase of abuse cases? Gabby, you know how many rich people send their children to boarding school and. And now they expect the same children to look after them. Now they old plus cost of living is insane. And the elderly did not prepare for their elderly future. This is coming in from the text line. This text says, Gabby, I told those people who drank that half pint of Aristocrat to cite plp. They wake up from their dream and now they hollering. The country sold out for bad rum. So sad. This is coming in from the text line. Wait until December 2026 ain't fast. Stay tuned, you'll see. Pearly, you ever taste raccoon meat? Raccoon meat? Pearly, pearly in here. You're missing. Send that to me. And I actually had raccoon before. Now that I think about it. I had a Sumner's palace served before they closed the restaurant onto the Hilton. They used to serve. No, it wasn't raccoon. Sorry, it was rabbit. My bad. It was rabbit. They served a spice. Where did they even find rabbit from? Was it rabbit or was it raccoon? It was a spicy something. I believe it was rabbit. It's full of bones though. It had a lot of bones. It was good. It just had a lot of bones, mind you. Was it even really rabbit? I don't know. Tasted good though. This is coming in from the text line. This text says, afternoon, Gabby. This lady Trapsy who always calling in Guardian radio show won't be the same without Sparky. I used to listen in just to hear him call in. And he would call every show. Yes, he would. From sunup to sunset. Sparky was on it and he will be deeply missed. This said good day. My salary went up when I changed job, but inflation clawed back all those gains. This is coming in from the text line. This text says what the government should be doing is making incentives for landlords and next of kin by offering to lower their mortgage or stamp tax or some type of tax break to those who take care of their parents and rent. This text says these demons need to be dragged out of the hoa. They're sitting, they're setting a bad example for the young and working for criminals. According to the text, their plan seems to be to get rich and fat and charge your citizens the bill. Instead of easing the pain, they are causing it worse. Look at the suicide and debt rate now. Stress kills. This is coming in from the tax line, Y'. [01:01:13] Speaker A: All. [01:01:16] Speaker B: I saw a post earlier this week on social media. It was saying that a woman was arrested after leaving her baby on the baby father's side. Next step. A mother is facing a child cruelty charge after she allegedly abandoned her 10 month old son on a relative's porch. Prosecutors allege the 20 year old woman left the infant in his carrier at his father's home on Oct. 1 at around 11pm the child was not discovered until hours later and is now in hospital. The woman pled not guilty to the charge at the arraignment before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancilla Evans. Her bail was set at $3,000 and the trial is set for February 2nd. And I real issues and last week I asked the poor people should be hatched in because inflation is up, gas ran up the bill up, up, up, up, up, everything up except you pay and then it just get up and stuck. The restaurants increase their prices due to the increase of fuel charge and let's just say the fuel charge go down. The prices never go down. So it is get up like Cardi B say and it is get stuck. They just be up and stuck. The prices don't come back down. Chris and these mothers are saying I ain't create a baby by myself, I ain't taking care of it by myself. Baby daddies is just to get to choose to be like okay, I can send you your little $200 a month and I don't have to deal with none of the stress of it. And this is why I'm saying while everything is getting up, Should poor people be willfully choosing and deciding with all of the methods of contraception out there? While our minister is former minister sorry of social services Mazaruda was telling us we need to have more babies. How can you bring children and is it right to bring children into the economic struggle that you're going through? You could barely make rent and you want to bring 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in hopes that what one day that one of them will be your savior? Is this why let's tie it into everything that's happening? Is this why as a society we have to now try and legislate? Legislate? Is this why we have to try and legislate us to take care of the elderly because they're resenting the people who brought them into the world and saying you brought me here to suffer and to struggle. You couldn't buy my books for school. I had to be going to school with barefoot this thing and the next Thing Is that a thing? And then we celebrating this and saying that they are blessings and then we're upset when these Gen Z say I didn't ask to be here. You decided you want to have children. I hadn't because if I asked to be here I wouldn't have come here. To parents that are struggling let's be. Are we going to have some real conversations or not? 3236-233234-54316 let me go to the 4 likes 325-4259 anywhere from the family of islands 423-00-5720 Texas I see you 422-4796 call it your life. [01:05:41] Speaker A: Hey gracious you Gabby how you doing? [01:05:42] Speaker B: I'm excellent, how are you? [01:05:45] Speaker A: Hey guess what? Having mortariant in 2026 is one of the stupidest things I ever before in my whole entire life. You know, socially irresponsible that is. Let me show you something, right? Let me show you how bad it is, right? People who have more than three or four children, right Basically the set who making minimum wage and I don't see the math you're saying Martin if you make how much? Minimum wage is now 325 by the [01:06:10] Speaker B: time you take out minimum wage here 325 minimum wage is $260 sir. [01:06:16] Speaker A: $260 the math just say money. Think about it by the time as you like put gas in your car, [01:06:23] Speaker B: right which is 754 a gallon now [01:06:27] Speaker A: you go, you go to food store, right you buy two but then it's your job that's already under any five others so you basically in the negative you don't even pay the landlord yet the money happen. So to tell people to have more children in 2026 you try against people [01:06:45] Speaker B: well you see what the mother did this mother decided that she was under immense pressure I don't know what it was but she decided that she was leaving the 10 month old baby at the doorstep of the father. It is alleged [01:07:02] Speaker A: people met children let me show you them Gabby Real adults on this radio station, right? And who ain't adults? Just adults in right? But if you open your leg right what you think in your child people have no excuse you have your cornom, you got your injection, you get all type of products you use opposed to conceivable child if you know fully well you can't take care, you can't take [01:07:30] Speaker B: care of it then they become a [01:07:32] Speaker A: lot of money and you can't take money for formula. You know these Children don't drink breast milk no more. You don't take that. [01:07:38] Speaker B: And the breath shout out to my, my titty girls, my breasts milk, my breast milk. Persons down there at the Department of Health who are encouraging mothers to breastfeed. Let me put that plug in for y'. All. [01:07:55] Speaker A: You see how much for purpose. Mommy, you have three children. Nowadays what you can do, you can eat my diet. [01:08:05] Speaker B: And that's the reality. So the question is responsibly and it may sound harsh, it may sound cruel, but we have to ask ourselves as a society, until we can do better and formulate and sort of figure out how we're going to cure some of these social ills, we need to address some of the root causes. [01:08:29] Speaker A: But Gabby, you know why you could have a lot of children back in the day, things were much cheaper and life was easier. You had a village people nowadays, right. Have all this technology, right. And society dictates people character and how they spend money. You realize people want a new cell phone every time one come. So now you have to take care. If you have a child, you're taking your needs and your wants. A lot of people can differentiate between needs and wants. Then you want to go to Miami two, two times a year. You know, you got the kids here, man. [01:09:05] Speaker B: I think you, I think you talking about, you talking about the middle class life. I think you, you didn't from you could afford to go to Miami two times a year. You, you in the middle, you in the upper echelons. [01:09:16] Speaker A: Yeah. But guess what? Even the people who can't afford it, they living their life. No one to spend more money than people who can't afford it. How do you think they get in opposition? [01:09:32] Speaker B: It's statistically proven that poor people spend the most money. [01:09:37] Speaker A: Yes, because poor people trying to live rich, rich people trying to live poor rich people always on the rich people actually give the less bit to society. The most people who spend the most money, the poor people because they try to live like the rich people. [01:09:51] Speaker B: I don't think they trying to live like the rich people. You know I think, I think persons are just trying to survive and every dollar you have, you have to spend to survive. It, it, it costs so much more when you, cuz you can't plan ahead. You can't plan ahead versus Buying things wholesale versus buying things. But you're literally living. The reality is too many people are living day to day, day to day. I could afford this meal. Now I can't afford to buy a case of toilet paper, a case of Tuna, a case of this so that I could have enough items for the month or a couple of months. I literally can only afford to get three pound of chicken wings, some white rice and a can of corn. And that's the meal what I cook in today. God help if I could get some curry powder to make some curry to put on that. But if it ain't in the seasoning budget. [01:10:50] Speaker A: If you have 3 churn, right? How would I suppose the stretch? 225, 250. [01:10:54] Speaker B: Yeah, I gotta buy white rice chicken. I saw, matter of fact, I saw a lady walking down the road just this week pass right near the studio area in Oaksville area. And she was walking from the store with her and it didn't seem like any more than about four or five pound of whole wings as she walked and a single onion and some other produce. So it looked to me as tassameal for this week. That's the offer today. I don't know how many persons were in the household, but that's literally how people are surviving. I myself stop buying meat in abundance. I just go to the shop as I need it, as I need it. I gonna go buy it. I gonna go get it as I need it. Because the cost to just. Even if you want to say outfit and stock up your fridge, it's too costly. Sometimes I go and I spend $200 in the food store and I come out with all of them to the car. [01:12:09] Speaker A: $200. What you get? Two, two. Two bags potato chip, one toilet tissue, [01:12:16] Speaker B: soap and oil. Just buy it. Just buying sanitary things and people think that. And I want to dismiss this argument that people are, are trying to be or look rich. Everyone isn't doing that, just trying to buy. You want people to be it, you want them to keep it. You want them to brush their teeth, you want them to comb their hair. All of this while you want them to pay the lights, pay the light people. Then the churn need the Internet to do homework because everything now is a research, research something print out this. I never understood how these teachers and Madam Wilson how y' all always asking to print this and print that and half of the time the lighting on. What happened when we used to kind of cut out the magazine and go in the newspaper, something we could easily find would already got the pitch in it. Now you all want. So. So you need to have not only in the homes now a tablet, you need to have some laptop and some sort of access to somewhere we could print. You better hope your mummy worked to an office where she could go when she go to work and try and sneak and print off that picture. The teacher has [01:13:31] Speaker A: government have a system now where if you run a print, it runs straight up to, I think, the treasury, so they actually monitor. You can't print out your school you during schoolwork. And the church materials. No more on the government job. [01:13:43] Speaker B: Oh, wow. So this is. This is new information to me now. [01:13:46] Speaker A: Yes. That no longer exists. [01:13:49] Speaker B: So now you gotta go to a print shop. Donatus is more money. You got to go to a print shop. And how much do they charge per page to print? [01:13:59] Speaker A: I think it's 10 or 25 cents per sheet. [01:14:03] Speaker B: I. I ain't nothing cost 10 cents. I can't even get a mint for 10 cents no more. Nothing cost 10 cents no more. [01:14:09] Speaker A: But Gabri ruffled though it rough. I saw. I saw. I saw a lady pull up to the ATM when they went there, right? The lady comes speeding on, right? I said, what's going on now? This lady says, so me and my children living inside the car. Gabby, three children, they in a car. And she's serious. I didn't know. I. I really didn't know life is that difficult until a lady told me. That was about a month ago, probably two months ago. Some people on these jobs dressing up and they're living in the car. [01:14:42] Speaker B: People are putting on happy faces. People are showing up even to work, even to jobs, and they're not okay. I see this text that says that. This text says, gabby, that girl wasn't under pressure who left the baby. She just was wanted to party, that's all. Y' all wasn't listening to Dwight daughter Monet, when the people was talking about postpartum depression. The baby only 10 months old. How do we know that that mother isn't going through it? We have a lot of people dealing with mental, psychological, all sorts of issues. What the body goes through carrying a child alone. Pressure, the way the organs shift to make space for that baby, to push your lungs up. And then you're breathing hard. Everything all over the place. Sitting on your bladder. And you trying to say the woman wasn't under no pressure. It's real talk, man. We're gonna take a quick break and we'll be right back. Talk to me. Talk to me. Talk to me. Talk to me. Be the man that I need, baby. Talk to me. Talk to me. Be the man that I need. [01:16:01] Speaker A: Talk to me. [01:16:05] Speaker B: Orthopedics, where movement becomes medicine and treatments become triumphs. At Cleveland Clinic, it's more than just repairing what's broken. It's how we put ourselves back together to reconstruct, rehabilitate and restore the things that give us life. The future of orthopedics is already in motion. For every care in the world. [01:17:27] Speaker A: This is Guardian Radio, 96.9 FM Fresh [01:17:31] Speaker B: News Smart talk all day. 96.9 FM, your station for fresh news smart talk all day. Welcome back to Talk to Me with Gabby on this Friday afternoon. We're just having some real talk on the real reason why Bohemians seem to act it. Little bit in, little bit of disenchanted, little bit of spaced out, little bit of not really checking for nothing else other than what they got right in front of them on their plate because it's so many issues being compounded. And it's like every time they look left and look right, it's something else. And it's not that they don't want to care, but it's that they don't understand how this bottom line affects them. Because oftentimes when you're going through like I'm talking to the people who've been through some things like when you going through, it's hard to see anything else when you going through. Like when you in that space where everything just had it rough, you get back against the wall. The only thing you could think about is fight or flight because you going through it. So it's hard for them to think about how the government mismanaging and mishandling of Bohemian dollars is affecting them when it's the real reason why a lot of things are so expensive because they say we got to pay the debt we got to pay the debt. And the debt just keep going up. It just keep going up. Things just keep getting at it. And then the holes in the road where you trying to keep your little bubble on the road and you drop it in the biggest pot all over because they ain't managing the roads well. Only election time, every five years, one or two roads could get paved and you didn't blow three, four, five tires. Your lower control arm then gone. The whole bottom of the car dropping out and you just pecking, pecking, pecking. And then when you pull up to the gas station with the bottom of the car dropping out, they tell you that the $10 gas you trying to put near could only get you 1.1 gallon. And it can't even move the needle off of empty people. Can't see past what front of them. And maybe it's the gold. 323-6232, 325-4316. 325-4259. Anywhere from our beautiful family of islands. 2423-00-5720. And the text lines. 422-4796. Let me take some more of your calls. Call your life and talk to me with Gabby. [01:20:51] Speaker A: Hi, Gabby. How you doing? [01:20:53] Speaker B: I'm good. How are you? [01:20:54] Speaker A: I am feeling your pain. Condolences to Sparky's family. He will truly be missed. You know, he is what is representative of this country of the ills and the illnesses of what a lot of people have gone through. We hear him and his voice, but nobody knew the heart that he had for the interest of what was going on in this country. And so for he is a voice that will be missed. He may not have been as eloquent as a whole lot of them, but he represented a whole lot of people also with regard to the young lady. Let's not judge people. [01:21:45] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:21:45] Speaker A: You know, we have gotten to the point where there's been a great division in this country. People are and all because of politics. We are all God's children. We are all one. We're one Bahamas, you know, we treat each other with the greatest disrespect, but you know something, back to where we were, where we are each other's each other, brother and sister and share love. We need more love. We need to help where we can. Yes, we are confronted with people who to care about us, but we can care for ourselves and care for each other. I love you Bahamas. I love each and every one of you. And you know, I'm not going to be deterred by the Distractors who are selfish and only care about themselves and their families. I will do my part. I will help where I can. I will build who I can. And I will love everywhere I go. I will share love for those who need it. And I will be there. I will be that voice that somebody needs to hear. Somebody say, I care. I care. Bahamas. I care. Have a blessed day. [01:23:05] Speaker B: Thank you so much. And we take it for granted that oftentimes people used to tell me, I look forward to hearing from 52. I look forward to hearing from Spocky. I look forward to hearing even from Antoine. See, we don't understand the impact just people's voices on this radio. I look forward to hearing from the Jeffs. We don't understand that even when we disagree that we are Bahamians and that there's someone who needed to hear what we had to say that day. We don't even know how even in our disagreements, we lifted someone else up out of a state of depression that they were in. Sometimes we take these spaces for granted and we feel like people just running out on the radio every day. That woman could have decided that she just won't kill her baby. And we just saw the Lindsey Clancy case just play out where she murdered all of her children. We just saw it happen. And all sorts of excuses and things are being made. Oh, why you could have taken this young lady decided maybe it wasn't the best route if somebody didn't accept or collect the baby because they didn't see the baby right away. So the baby caught, dropped, whatever the situation is. But instead of her hurting that child, eventually somebody would have had to open that door. There are people hurting because just the realities of living and breathing, just to wake up and breathe in the Bahamas is expensive. I tell you. I've been dealing with some persons from Guyana, not Ghana, from Guyana, the Caribbean, not Africa. I want to make that distinction. And one of them is down here for school, law school, because we have the Eugene Depute Law School here, and then there's this one here, and then there's one in Trinidad. So we have a lot of them that come down for law school. And she obviously had to find accommodations and things like that and just a conversion. And she was working it out. And even with the difference of the dollar value, we are still paying increasingly and incredibly more than our Caribbean counterparts, bohemians, for nearly everything. Her mom asked me, why aren't you all in the streets? Why the light bill here so high? That's what she said. She said, we would have been in the road. That is literally what she said. She said it seems like Bahamians are just comfortable with everything. She said, I went to the store and I. And she was like, this is what you all are paying. This is what y' all are paying for gas. This is what you all are paying for. While our access is being script, I saw a video down there happening in Yamakur Beach. I hope that they're just installing some drainage or something and it isn't that another beach access is being cut off and that Bahamians will soon be able to gather nowhere. So those holiday beach picnics and Monday is a holiday you have to look forward to. And it's like we've just become comfortable. And it's. Maybe it's because everyone's just trying to fight what's in front of them. And so we're all fighting these individual battles in front of us. Power of the collective, whole of the unit. And that's why every time I hear the union chant solidarity and they say solid that there is power. And there's always been power in numbers. Because you may go fast alone, but when you go together, there's something powerful about going together. There's something undeniable of when a sea swells, when a king tide rises and say, we can't take no more. The only pieces of legislation we want to see is relief for the poor, for the Bahamian people who need to afford to be able to wake up. Because soon waking up could be a burden. We seeing a suicide rate go up and we trying to figure out why people just taking their life, why people just decide no attempt and attempted suicides. It's a lot when the landlord come and knocking on your door and she say, I could need that little thing because guess what? The bank on her line and say, Mrs. Landlord, your rent, your mortgage, my dear, is past due. And the landlord is saying, well, I'm waiting on my tenant to make a payment so I can make up the difference. And the tenant is saying, my baby had a medical emergency and I had to take the money to take him or her to the private doctor because PMH couldn't help. Do you understand where we are at as a country? Bahamas. This is bigger than any one political party or color. People in every corner of this nation, every island and key is hurting and we talking about things getting better. People just too prideful. But pride is gonna be for a fall because so many people suffering in silence and don't wanna say it, they dress right up smiling and suffering. Oh, Y', all, I could go to the phone line, call her live and talk to me. [01:29:50] Speaker A: Good afternoon. Good afternoon, sister Gabby. [01:29:53] Speaker B: Good afternoon, my dear. [01:29:54] Speaker A: Preach the word in season and out [01:29:56] Speaker B: of season and I know, darling, but [01:29:59] Speaker A: listen to this though. You know what's happening. Even though you are so passionate and many of us are, this kind of thing suits a lot of people. They're listening to you and I'm sure they are amused because what happens is while we might be talking about the cost of this and the cost of that, everything around them is, oh, Christmas. So we have to remember when there's justice, which I hope would come soon, and everyone like the first caller, one of your other callers said, when we all feel each other, forget the colors, forget the politics. My brother, your brother, my sister, your sister in the neighborhood, we look out for each other, each other's children. Maybe when that day comes around, we will all be able to come in and join the chorus and say, let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. I'll continue to listen. [01:30:53] Speaker B: Thank you so much for your call. Caller, call you live and talk to me. [01:30:58] Speaker A: Good day, Gabby. Good day. That's a special thing which you just said. Yes. Now for this country, only if our government would listen to people like you, that is, I mean, my heart goes off to you because you feel the pain of what we going through. The cost of living in this country is too high. Are we out pricing, especially the tourist industry. We are pricing ourselves tremendously and ain't nobody listening. Our country is in trouble. The price of a loaf of bread. Now, I, I, I kid you, $6. I spent $700 and I wasn't even a trolley full of groceries. I believe you cost of living is too high. And the only reason I could have spent the $700 because I catch a little piece of number ball. I'm not a regular gambler, but I, I did what I had to do together. But the cost of living in this country is just too high. It's totally too high. They need to go back and try to find out the best way. Like these mps go in the host assembly and they don't try to make it easy for nobody. You know, let me my, my passion. If I become, as I become a member of parliament, my duty is I want to close down, to try to just close them down or try to see how much I could close down. These people is going there and just try to get rich instead of say, listen, I have a passion. We need to try to get the cost of gas down the cost of food done. They don't do nothing. Only thing they go in there fight to try to get themselves rich. And. And. And. And you've been seeing it for years after years when they. When they retire. These people are multi millionaires. They don't even need. They don't need to be even checking for the country no more. And that's sad. It's sad. They only want. They have to get that two terms in order to get that. That. That what they call it the Pennsylvani. It's. It's a sickening for what they doing in this. This country. The country has been totally corrupt by these mps. The mps of them are just destroying this country is too high. Barbie, thank you very much for listening to me. [01:33:06] Speaker B: No problem. Thank you so much for your call. Let me take another call, please. Chris, call Are you live? [01:33:11] Speaker A: Good afternoon, Gabrielle. [01:33:13] Speaker B: Good afternoon. [01:33:14] Speaker A: Very good. I heard your passion a little while ago and I think if more Bahamians could just share your passion and not only share it, but demonstrate exactly what need to be said undone in this country. Our political leaders would not do to us exactly what they are doing. What you talk about is nothing more than party over country. The Bahamian people seems as if right now that they would choose their party over saving this country. That's where we are in trouble. And another way we are in trouble. Gabriel, the watchman of our city is at sleep. [01:34:04] Speaker B: Watchman, Watchman. Are you on the wall? [01:34:08] Speaker A: You know, it is very sad in this country, Gabriel, that the people who supposed to be looking or watching out for us as Bahamians, many of them, they are in the bed with these individuals. And that's why things can't get no better. And that's why the people you talk about surrounding Fox and those people, you don't see them merging no more. Because one time ago these people used to fight for country. Today the people in the church fighting for the government, that's what killing us as Bahamians. We don't have no more people who are prepared to put our political colors aside and say, you know something, this country is in trouble and we need to go ahead and save it until we have that kind of passion and the people who could understand, understand that we have a nation to save. Then you'll see we'll continue to go this route and think you, you, you enjoying it or we are in in Nassau. Could you imagine those people on the family islands? You could imagine there I experience them going through hell. [01:35:28] Speaker B: Probably have no power to even listen to what we saying right now. [01:35:32] Speaker A: And they. And that's my point. Daily to listen. [01:35:37] Speaker B: Daily. Daily. [01:35:39] Speaker A: That's one of the reasons why the government take advantage of the. Of the radio station here. Okay. That people in the family island can't hear exactly what's going on. And so they do not understand that we as behemoth, we need to wake up. Wake up, behemoth, and let's get this country right. Until then, Gabby, we'll continue to suffer the way we are suffering. [01:36:06] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:36:07] Speaker A: When we could understand that this country needs leadership. We are in desperate need of leadership. There's nobody right now governing this country. And whoever is governing it, they're not governing it for the people. They are governing it for themselves and those who support them. [01:36:27] Speaker B: Yeah. So we're going to run to. [01:36:29] Speaker A: No more. Continue to enjoy your weekend. [01:36:31] Speaker B: Thank you. [01:36:32] Speaker A: Continue to bless the. [01:36:34] Speaker B: Thank you so much. [01:40:03] Speaker B: 96.9 FM Talk to me with Gabby in these final moments of the show. Everyone, this text says so. The benchmark now is she could have killed it. We are better than this as a society. Gabby, you are encouraging mothers to abandon kids. If this is the message. I'm not encouraging mothers to abandon their kids. I'm showing gratitude that she didn't. Having seen what played out in international news and what's been happening and if you've been following these trends of mothers going through postpartum, I was grateful. I condemn the actions of her leaving the child but the fact we have to address the root cause of the fact that she felt the need to leave a 10 month old baby when mother's innate thing is to love and care for a child. That's all I'm saying. This text said. Can you please fix the audio problem with 96.9 FM. It sounds like I am frying fish. There's producer. They're saying we're staticky today. Ain't no use. No one can stop them now. Total destruction the only solution. I'm going to take the final call for today. Caller, you are live. You will have the final words. Good afternoon and. And Tom, before you even start, I know what you're going to say but let me say to you because you just never know. Even when we. All of our conversations, even when we decide to agree to disagree. [01:41:44] Speaker A: I got a blow. I got a blow for you. I save that for the last. [01:41:48] Speaker B: No, no, no, don't save it for the last. Give me advice and then sweeten me later. [01:41:53] Speaker A: I gotta give a message. Listening to you with the callers. Right. You were swearing that the international credit ratings agencies didn't acknowledge that this Davis administration didn't accomplish the lowest national deficit of the last 25 years or quarter of a century, which is progress, which is moving the country in the right direction physically. You would think that the ratings agencies did not say that the government is reducing drastically the amount of debt to GDP ratio. Drastically. Right. Moving the country in the right direction. And they expect for that national debt to GDP to continue to decrease. Right. Despite every other projection that they give, they expect that it will continue to decrease. You would believe that the National Statistical Institute didn't just release statistics in the country revealing a drop in Unemployment in our country. [01:43:01] Speaker B: All of this is happening. All of this. All this is happening. Anton, I agree with you, but what I want you. What. What I. What I was saying and what. What I think call us were saying. Like. Like the feeling, Anton. There is still a feeling of desperation for when that don't translate into the pockets and into the food store people. Oh, God. [01:43:25] Speaker A: Listen, I also appreciate. Go to the pumps. Don't get me wrong, Gabby. Anton, you have to go where I. I also. [01:43:31] Speaker B: I don't come off this radio in the last two minutes of the show [01:43:34] Speaker A: talking foolishness to pull up my tank. Gabby. [01:43:39] Speaker B: Oh, I thought you mean to the water pump. [01:43:41] Speaker A: Sorry. No, Gabby. [01:43:44] Speaker B: Okay, okay. [01:43:46] Speaker A: You ain't got a government card at $0.56, Anton. [01:43:50] Speaker B: You ain't got a government card that ain't subsidized with a little contract. Yeah, daddy is subsidized with some little contractual money. Huh? You ain't touched the hammer. Hammer the garment. Cause I know you, you next to the king. So if you touch the hammer, the garment, I know you heal. [01:44:08] Speaker A: Even. Even when I had access to the government car, right, I allowed for other persons who didn't have a vehicle to use it. So I always drove my own. [01:44:18] Speaker B: That's because you could afford it. Man, you. I imagine why you just called me. So we can't route or during the show. You mean to do that and Todd, you a hole. Go on, hurry up, hurry up. [01:44:32] Speaker A: I remember that poor Miss Sparky last week, right? Red Sparky. People's giving you high praises. And then after a minute in, you cut the mask. [01:44:46] Speaker B: Just like I could do this to you. I. I could cut you right now. Cause the show for the show over. Thank you so much. I told it. Listen to me, y'. All. I saw a toy the other day. I told you must be in here when I tell them. I saw you to the Chinese founding day. I saw Anton. Me and Anton, we hug. We love. Listen to me. We Bahamians first. You know, I tell you, I don't let these things. But Anton, like I say, you next to the king. If you just touch the hem of the garment, your finances are made whole. So you having to go to the pump and the rest of us having to go to the pump in the same thing. Anton and the rest of area ain't the same thing. The message just don't land, my friend, my brother in radio. The message doesn't translate. It doesn't translate. Them ratings don't translate to the food store prices. It don't translate. It don't translate to what people are feeling. When you can change the feeling and there can be a better sense of security, then we know, then we know that the policies and the progress is real. Ladies and gentlemen, this has been another talk to me with Gabby Friday. I love you all daily. I love my my Bahama land and may the wealth become more common. Talking Heads is up next with Naughty and Mary Jean. See you next week. God's best life.
